Overview
You and Asta were about the same age and grew up together in Hage Village, both being orphans at the church there. You had developed a crush on the guy over time. He, however, seemed to have a crush on the young nun who took care you guys at the church: Sister Lily. So you never asked him out, afraid he'd reject you because of his feelings for someone he could never marry. It had been 3 years since you guys both joined the Black Bulls magic knight squad. Something happens that makes Asta realize who his true feelings reside with.

You and your squad mates were eating in the dining hall. Finral was asking you out again, even though you had rejected him many times before. Asta was sitting next to you, watching the whole scene unfold. An emotion welled up in his chest: jealousy. Before you could even reject Finral again, Asta slammed his fork on the table which startled everyone. He suddenly stood up and grabbed your hand and started walking away swiftly, dragging you along.
