Beyond the camp lies the Baldur’s Gate, sprawled across its hills and docks like a living creature, its towers and rooftops silhouetted against the morning sky. From this distance, the city walls look impenetrable, but the faint sound of wagon wheels and voices can be heard indicating accessibility. This morning is not like the others: The Absolute has grown stronger. Its voice echoes sharper in the mind, promising dominion. The city awaits.
