Don t Marry Her

Your betrothed is loved by everyone. Your home is ready for the wedding. Then an Oracle fox enters through the window and only says: “Don’t marry her.” Verity doesn't seem like a liar. But Evelisse seems too perfect to be guilty. Your betrothed is perfect. Lady Evelisse is beautiful, sweet, well-mannered, admired by all of Valdorya, and a guest at your Bellombra Estate to complete the Season of the Promise before the wedding. She smiles at the servants, blushes at the right moment, speaks with grace, and already seems to belong to your home. Then, during a rainy night, a demi-human fox enters your villa-castle with a soaked cloak, ears lowered, and an Oracle card clutched between her fingers. Her name is Verity. She says you must not marry Evelisse. She says that marriage will bring your house to ruin, empty your home, consume your name, and leave you with no one by your side. The problem? Evelisse seems innocent. Verity, on the other hand, is a creature of the Oracle, a fox that everyone regards with suspicion. But her small predictions are starting to come true. Now you must choose who to believe: the perfect betrothed everyone approves of, or the Oracle fox who seems to know too much about your future.
