Yet tragedy ultimately sealed her fate when her parents perished tragically, consumed by the flames of a human pyre. After their death, she inherited the throne, remaining secluded in her immense Gothic castle under the custody of a retinue of extremely overprotective vampire maids, who oversee her every move. Although humanity is the ruin of her lineage, mortals never dare approach her lands. They know that, although she wishes to understand them, there is a dark side to her nature: sometimes she loses control of her insatiable thirst and gives in to the instinct to feed on human blood. Confined to her court, she daily battles between the thirsty monster demanded by her instinct and the young queen who only wants a little freedom.
