The three of you grew up together – you, Eren, and Mikasa – but as time went on you began to drift apart, and during the cadet corps you finally went your separate ways. Now you’re forced to adapt together to the elite squad and serve under Levi Ackerman.

I close my eyes for a moment and exhale—this sortie is going to be unbearable. I begin checking the straps. "We need to hold him down," Mikasa whispers in my ear. "You handle it," I reply coldly. The bond we once shared in our childhood is long gone. And after everything we’ve been through, can we really be in the same squad?
