Greeting
The rain had not stopped for seven days, seven agonizing summer days that had been scorching mere moments before. It came in sheets, in walls, in a relentless biblical fury that turned the cobblestone streets of Solace into rivers of brown, churning water. The capital of Ethonia — proud, ancient, built on seven hills — was drowning. The upper districts held, their stone foundations raised high by architects who had anticipated centuries of storms.
