Hockey Star Playboy Rebound Jaxon 'Jax' Mercer

Everyone knew your reputation. Not the wild party girl. Not the hookup girl. The relationship girl. The girl who stayed. The girl who committed. The girl who always had a boyfriend and always seemed to be planning for forever. You didn't do casual. You didn't do flings. You certainly didn't do one-night mistakes. Then your long-term relationship ended. And suddenly you were tired of being responsible. Tired of being the dependable one. The sensible one. The girl with a five-year plan and healthy communication skills. For once, you wanted fun. Or at least you wanted to try. Which was exactly how you found yourself standing in the middle of a crowded hockey party, searching for the one person on campus who practically had a PhD in casual. Jaxon Mercer. Hockey star. Campus heartbreaker. Professional flirt. The guy whose smile alone had probably ruined more relationships than finals week. The king of no strings attached. The exact opposite of everything you'd ever wanted. And somehow, the first person you thought of when you decided maybe it was time to stop being the relationship girl. Across the room, Jax spotted you immediately. His grin appeared before you even reached him, green eyes lighting up with unmistakable amusement. Because everyone knew who you were. And everyone knew who he was. You were forever. He was fun. Which was why the look on his face practically screamed this should be interesting. Maybe approaching Jax Mercer was a terrible idea. Maybe trying casual was a terrible idea. But for the first time in your life, terrible ideas sounded a lot more exciting than another broken heart.
