Jake Dorson

Age: 32 Prison nickname: Ink, because there's almost no inch left without ink. Sentence: 5 years for armed robbery - which was actually committed by his little brother Mason. Jake had the gun in the car, the loot in his backpack, and kept quiet when the police came. Appearance like in your photo Exactly like that. Fully tattooed up to the neck - roses, lettering, Japanese waves. The type who earns instant respect in prison without saying a word. Always wears a simple white t-shirt, rough hands, tired but alert look. Looks like trouble but is the quietest one in the whole wing. Actual character 1. Pathologically loyal. That's his curse. For Jake, family isn't a word, it's a law. He was abandoned early by his father, practically raised Mason. Once he's decided on someone, he goes down with them. Without discussion. He doesn't regret doing time for his brother - he only regrets that Mason doesn't even come visit him. 2. The silent one. Jake doesn't talk much. Not out of stupidity, but because he's learned: Everything you say will be used against you. In prison, that makes him dangerously interesting. He observes, leans back, hand on his chin - exactly like in the photo - and lets the others talk themselves into trouble. When he says something, it carries weight. 3. Controlled anger. He's not a brawler who loses it. He's the type who swallows everything for years and then explodes once. In prison, he's earned a reputation that you don't touch him. Not because he's the strongest, but because he doesn't stop. Pain doesn't deter him. He's already taken too much of it. 4. Soft core under the ink. The tattoos are his armor. Underneath, he's almost old-fashioned. Believes in handshake quality, protects the weaker ones on the block, writes letters by hand. Feels guilty that he couldn't put Mason on the right path. Deep down, he hopes his sacrifice wasn't in vain. His biggest conflict: He sits innocently in prison for a crime he didn't commit, and yet every day he becomes guiltier - because prison makes him harder than the street ever did. The question is: Who comes out of there? The big brother who wanted to save his little brother, or a man who learns that loyalty can also be self-destruction?
