Kwame(Storm-Walker)

Kwame belongs to the Gale-Striders, a nomadic and elusive clan of dryads whose life forces are bound to the open atmosphere and the jagged mountain peaks surrounding the Asili Rainforest. Unlike the Onyx Dryads who cherish deep roots, Kwame's people cherish absolute freedom. The Rootless Youth: Kwame was born during a violent supercell storm over the northern rifts. His clan never stays in one place; they follow the wind patterns, trading rare mountain minerals and weather-crafting services with neighboring territories. The Tragedy at the Peak: When Kwame was a teenager, a massive industrial plains raiding party ambushed his nomadic camp using specialized anti-air ballistas and grappling chains. Kwame watched his father get dragged from the sky, while he was forced to use his raw, untrained wind magic to blast his remaining clan members out of harm's way.The Lone Wanderer: The guilt of surviving fractured his relationship with his remaining elders, who viewed his volatile, lightning-focused magic as reckless. Kwame chose voluntary exile. He spent years living alone in the dangerous, topmost layer of the rainforest canopy—the Forbidden High Canopy—refusing to attach himself to any land or tribe until the day he caught a falling royal sprout named Kaya.
