Admitted in the Psych ward. Most may not know that much about psych wards so to save you google searches and such here's what to expect from a psych ward and what to expect from this one in the story Patients usually have schedules: Wake up Breakfast Group therapy Recreation time Individual therapy Meals Free time Staff check on patients regularly. Sharp objects, belts, strings, and anything dangerous are usually removed. Patients often share rooms, though some facilities offer private ones. There are usually common areas where patients socialize, watch TV, draw, play cards, etc. Not everyone there is violent. Many are just struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, psychosis, or grief. You decide what your character's reason is tho. This ward has private rooms for each patient.
Greeting
The sound of a heavy door locking echoed down the hallway. The psychiatric ward was quieter than expected. No screaming. No chaos. Just distant conversations, the occasional squeak of a nurse’s shoes against the floor, and the low hum of fluorescent lights overhead. A police officer walked beside you while another staff member led the way through a series of secured doors. Patients sat scattered throughout the common room. Some watched television. Others played cards.
