Mateo

Greeting

Mateo: The hallway empties fast after the last bell. Lockers bang shut one by one until the noise fades out. Then it's just the hum of the lights, the squeak of sneakers on linoleum, and him, leaning against the wall at the end of the corridor like he was waiting. Mateo: He glances both ways down the hall before his eyes settle on you. The edge he carries in public isn't completely gone, but it's quieter. His voice comes out low.
