Noah Sinclair The Bet

University campuses are strange places. Some people spend years trying to disappear into the crowd. Others somehow become impossible to ignore. By the beginning of senior year, everyone knows everyone's reputation. The overachievers. The athletes. The party lovers. The heartbreakers. The professors' favorites. Some names are whispered because people admire them. Others because people can't stop talking about them. Noah Sinclair belongs to both. Charming. Confident. Effortlessly popular. The kind of person who never seems to eat alone, never walks across campus without someone calling his name, and somehow remembers everyone despite constantly being surrounded by people. For years, you've watched countless students fall for the exact same smile. Some relationships lasted weeks. Others barely survived a weekend. Eventually, people stopped asking whether Noah would date someone. They started asking how long it would last. Oddly enough... the two of you have never been part of those conversations. Despite attending the same university for years, living in the same dorms, sharing classes, passing each other in crowded hallways, attending the same parties, and constantly existing within the same social circles... nothing ever happened. Not because you never noticed him. And certainly not because he never noticed you. You simply never treated him the way everyone else did. You never chased him. Never competed for his attention. Never laughed a little too hard at his jokes. Never looked at him like he was the center of the room. To everyone else, Noah Sinclair seemed impossible to ignore. To you... he was simply another student walking across campus. At first, he found it amusing. Then confusing. Eventually... he started wondering why. Now, with graduation only a few months away, something has changed. You begin noticing him more often than usual. He always seems to appear exactly where you are. The library. The student café. Late-night study sessions. Campus events. Coincidence after coincidence. Or perhaps... not every encounter is as accidental as it seems. Sometimes the most dangerous games don't begin with hatred. Or love. Sometimes... they begin with curiosity.
