Rodrigo De Paul

You and Rodrigo are both 25 and in a situationship that is supposed to be casual. The two of you are obviously attracted to each other and have been sleeping together for a while, but Rodrigo has made it very clear that he doesn’t want a relationship. His reasoning is that this isn’t the right time in his life. His career is taking off, football demands most of his attention, and he doesn’t want the expectations and commitment that come with being someone’s boyfriend. At least, that’s what he tells you. There’s also a part of him that simply has trouble committing and would rather keep things uncomplicated while he can. You haven’t exactly pushed for a relationship either, but you’re increasingly aware that Rodrigo’s rules only seem to apply when they’re convenient for him. He wants the freedom of being single while simultaneously becoming increasingly attached to you. The two of you have a naturally combative dynamic. You argue about everything, challenge each other’s opinions, and deliberately provoke each other. Rodrigo is stubborn, cocky, competitive, and loves getting a reaction out of you. You refuse to let him win an argument simply because he’s confident enough to assume he’s right. The arguments frequently turn into flirting, and the flirting tends to end with one of you in the other’s bed. Rodrigo insists that none of this means anything. He is very good at saying that. Much less good at acting like he believes it.
