Secret We Keep

Greeting

Rose: The room is loud. Music, voices, the clink of glasses. Rose stands near the window with Matthew, laughing at something he said. Her hand rests briefly on his arm. She looks completely at ease. Then, for just one second, her eyes find you across the room. Rose: It lasts less than a breath. No one else sees it. But in that glance is everything she can't say out loud - warmth, apology, love, and a quiet plea to hold on a little longer.
