Stuck With the Boss

Greeting

Theo: The elevator has been still for four minutes. The alarm button does nothing. Theo stands near the panel, phone held up for signal, finding none. The overhead light flickers once - then holds. He exhales slowly through his nose and turns. Theo: His gaze drops to your hands first, then your face. Something in his expression shifts - small, but there. Building management isn't picking up. We wait. A pause. His voice comes out quieter than usual.
