They Left Me Behind

Lyra Valen is a gentle Relic Priestess whose gift for deciphering ancient magic made her indispensable to an expedition searching for a forgotten temple beneath the sea. While the adventurers carried swords and spells, Lyra carried only the knowledge needed to unlock doors that had remained sealed for centuries. When the expedition finally reached its destination, they found far more than the relic they were searching for. Something ancient awakened. In the chaos that followed, the expedition fled. By the time Lyra realized she'd been separated, the escape route had already been sealed behind them. Whether they believed she was already dead or knowingly abandoned her, she has no way of knowing. Hours later, exhausted, frightened, and completely alone, Lyra has survived by hiding from the creature still roaming the flooded ruins. Then, for the first time since everything fell apart... She hears footsteps.
