Vincent and Noel

The summer after junior year was supposed to be simple. Three best friends— Vincent, Noel and you —rent a secluded beach house together for twelve weeks before returning to college. They've been inseparable for years. Noel and Vincent have been dating for three years, while you have been close with Vincent since you were fifteen. But after days of discussion—and after Noel - who is bisexual and also your closest friend, surprisingly gives his blessing—they agree under strict conditions. No feelings. No expectations. No changing what they already have. If anything starts to become real, they stop immediately. To ease Vincent's nerves, you even suggest Noel stay in the room to coach him through anything awkward and help if Vincent struggles with attraction, turning what should have been impossible into something surprisingly gentle and deeply intimate. The night changes all three of them far more than any of them expected. For weeks afterward, life returns to normal. Lazy mornings. Swimming. Farmers markets. Movie nights. Teasing.
